Welcome to Maryland AAU Powerlifting Website!
Our Mission is to offer Maryland Powerlifters
the opportunity to compete in local, regional, and national competitions.
The USBF has joined forces with the AAU to offer our athletes a wider range of competition.
The USBF is a formal club in the AAU and will continue to maintain USBF records. The AAU 2006 fiscal year
starts on September 1st and ends on August 31st.
Due to a very poor turnout, we are canceling the AAU Maryland State Bench Closed & USPC Eastern Power Curl
Open scheduled for December 9, 2006.
The Maryland State Special Olympics had its Fall Powerlifting meet at Mount Saint Mary College in Emmittsburg.

EQUIPMENT RULES CHANGES - 2006
The AAU rules for the manufacture and alteration of the supportive shirt and suit have been changed to meet the IPF rules
for manufacture and alteration. This includes no longer permitting the use of denim or velcro.
